Portrait: Franziska Becker

Franziska Becker, born in Mannheim in 1949, is a famous caricaturist in the German-speaking area. She has been active in the feminist movement since 1973 and helped to shape the image of Emma magazine along with her friend Alice Schwarzer. Her works have also been published by various other media. She was awarded with the Max and Moritz award, the Göttinger ELCH and the Wilhelm Busch award. These days she is also successfully working as a painter. She lives in Cologne and the USA.
