Cancellation policy when ordering printed books and other tangible goods
Cancellation policy
You have the right to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason for your withdrawal within a 14-day period.
The period for revocation is 14 days and begins at the earliest on the day on which you or any third person designated by you who is not the carrier receive(s) the last of the ordered goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal you have to inform us, the Göttinger Verlag der Kunst GmbH, represented by its Managing Director Gert W. Schwab,
Geiststraße 11,
37073 Göttingen,
fax: +49 551 38 48 58-99,
email: post@gvdkunst.de,
about your decision to withdraw from the contract in an unambiguous way (e.g. by mail, fax or email). You are free to use the form of withdrawal provided on our website but you are not obliged to use it.
To maintain the right of withdrawal, it will suffice to send the notice of withdrawal before the period of revocation expires.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from the contract, we have to refund all payment we have received from you including the costs of shipping (except the additional costs that may have arisen by you choosing a different form of delivery apart from the standard shipping method offered by us) immediately and within a period of 14 days after the day we have received your notice of objection. We will use the same method of transfer that you used in the original payment unless we explicitly agree on a different method of payment. You won't be charged any extra costs for this refund.
We can refuse to refund the costs until we have received the goods or until you have proven to us that the goods have been sent back to us, depending on which happens earlier.
You have to send back the goods or hand them over to us as soon as possible within a period of 14 days starting from the day that you have informed us about your withdrawal. The deadline is abided if you send the goods before the end of the 14 day period. You have to bear the expenses of return.
You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from its handling other than what is necessary to ascertain the state, nature and functioning of the goods.
