Saimaluu Tash - Ancient rock art in the high mountains of Kyrgyzstan

In hundreds of places in the moun-tains of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, we find three to four thousand year old rock carvings with images of everyday life, mythical figures and fantastic creatures. Saimaluu Tash in the Fergana chain with over 10,000 decorated rocks is at the centre of this volume. Images from four other sites located in breathtaking landscapes stretching as far as Kazakhstan complete the picture with drawings of the Scythians and Old Turks.
